Orcas Island

The largest of the San Juan Islands, Orcas Island is approximately 57 square miles, with a population of 5,000. To get to Orcas, you can take a Washington State Ferry from Anacortes to Orcas Island, take a small commuter plane from Portland or Seattle, or charter a seaplane. Birdwatching, whalewatching and hiking are popular activities for visitors to Orcas Island and the San Juans.
