Seattle

As the largest city in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle serves as the metropolitan center for all of Washington. With the Olympic Mountains to the west, the Cascade range to the east, and the Puget Sound at its feet, Seattle is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Downtown Seattle is a bustling urban and industrial core, surrounded by thriving neighborhoods of single family homes. Seattle is home to the University of Washington.

The Ballard Bridge is a double-leaf bascule drawbridge that carries Seattle's 15th Avenue over Salmon Bay between Ballard and Interbay. It was built in 1917, and in 1982 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. This is the westward view, toward the Salmon Bay marina and Fisherman's Terminal.
