Walla Walla
Walla Walla is a town in the southeast corner of Washington State. It boasts three colleges: Whitman College and Walla Walla University, two private liberal arts schools, and Walla Walla Community College. Walla Walla was an important milestone along the Oregon Trail, and the area is rich in history, including the Whitman Monument, commemorating the first European woman to settle in the Northwest. Known for its wheat, onions and asparagus, Walla Walla has recently made a name for itself as a quality wine producing region as well.
Downtown Walla Walla

In the late 19th century, Walla Walla was one of the largest cities west of the Mississippi. Its downtown still shows its proud heritage, with a traditional small-town American Main St. Now Walla Walla is known for its agriculture (wine, wheat, sweet onions) and its three colleges.
